On July 1, 2024, the pre-departure training lecture for the "Thousand Talents Overseas Study Program" successfully convened in Smart Classroom 1102, preparing 16 selected scholars for their upcoming international academic experience. The Office of International Exchange and Cooperation organized the event, featuring specialized training by Guizhou University's English teacher Tian Ting. Foreign Affairs Division Chief Xu Fangqing presided over the session, with faculty representatives from the Schools of Management, Civil, and Electrical Engineering in attendance.

At the beginning of the lecture, Xu Fangqing extended a warm welcome to Teacher Tian Ting and provided students with an overview of the training program as well as an introduction to the instructor's background.

Tian Ting then guided students through an intercultural exploration, using cultural contrasts to stimulate reflection on regional differences. She encouraged open-minded perspectives toward cultural definitions while introducing customs of the destination countries.
